CIFAS notice

Before we provide services we may undertake checks for the purposes of preventing fraud and money laundering, and to verify your identity. These checks require us to process personal data about you.

The personal data you have provided, we have collected from you, or we have received from third parties will be will be used to prevent fraud and money laundering, and to verify your identity.

Fraud prevention agencies can hold your personal data for different periods of time, and if you are considered to pose a fraud or money laundering risk, your data can be held for up to six years.

Consequences of processing

If we, or a fraud prevention agency, determine that you pose a fraud or money laundering risk, we may refuse to provide the services and financing you have requested, or to employ you, or we may stop providing existing services to you.

How long will we store personal data for?

Personal data will be securely stored for a set period, this is necessary to fulfil our legal obligations and the legitimate interests of our business. We may keep your data for one of these reasons;

  • Customer consideration – To show that we treated you fairly.
  • Legality – To maintain records according to rules that apply to us.
  • Anti-fraud & money laundering – To assist authorities to identify illegal actions.

All personal data received will be kept securely for six years. Should you take out a finance agreement via our services, we’ll retain your data for a period of six years plus the term of the loan.

Telephone recordings will be stored indefinitely (subject to being recorded). We consider the risk of a personal data breach is significantly reduced if we do not grant access to personnel tasked with deleting data. You will be notified if any telephone conversation is being recorded.

We use Hotjar in order to better understand our users’ needs and to optimize this service and experience. Hotjar is a technology service that helps us better understand our users experience (e.g. how much time they spend on which pages, which links they choose to click, what users do and don’t like, etc.) and this enables us to build and maintain our service with user feedback. Log files

Yorkshire Baby Scan follows a standard procedure of using log files. These files log visitors when they visit websites. All hosting companies do this and a part of hosting services’ analytics. The information collected by log files include internet protocol (IP) addresses, browser type, Internet Service Provider (ISP), date and time stamp, referring/exit pages, and possibly the number of clicks. These are not linked to any information that is personally identifiable.
