What types of scans do you offer?
How much do your scans cost?
Our prices start from £65 and varies depending on the service and optional keepsakes. We offer scans and keepsakes to give parents the best value. For full pricing and package details, visit our service page.
When should I book my scan?
Booking depends on the type of scan:
- Early Pregnancy Scan: 6–11 weeks
- Gender Scan: 16+ weeks
- 4D Bonding Scan: 24–32 weeks
We recommend booking early to secure your preferred time, especially for 4D scans or weekend appointments. You can check availability and book online here.
What should I do before my scan?
You should make your appointment no earlier than two weeks after your positive pregnancy test and no earlier than six weeks after the first day of your last period. This is your ‘last menstrual period date’ or LMP.
Please arrive with a full bladder. This will help the sonographer be able to get a clear picture of your baby by transabdominal scan.
If a transabdominal scan isn’t possible, a transvaginal scan may be required to view your baby.
If you have any uncertainties or need clarification, please don’t hesitate to contact us.
What should I wear to my scan?
For most scans, loose-fitting clothing that allows easy access to your abdomen is recommended. This will facilitate the procedure and ensure your comfort.
Can I bring someone with me?
Yes, you are welcome to bring along those close to you who also want to share this amazing experience. Initially only one other person will be allowed in with you, however once the baby is in view everyone can take turns in seeing the scan.
Is there an age requirement to visit?
Our services are currently available to adults only. You must be at least 18 years old to book an appointment with us.
Can I bring my children to the scan?
Children are welcome. For the safety and comfort of all clients, we ask that an extra adult supervises younger children during your appointment.
Do I need a referral from my GP or midwife?
No referral is required for any of our private scans. We recommend attending your NHS appointments as usual. Our scans are complementary to NHS care and provide extra reassurance or keepsake opportunities.
Should I inform my NHS midwife about my private scan results?
It is entirely your choice, but we do recommend that you let your midwife or maternity team know. Keeping them updated ensures they have the full picture of your pregnancy and can continue to provide you and your baby with the safest care. In some cases, especially in early pregnancy, further follow-up with the NHS may be recommended.
Will I receive a report after my scan?
Yes, all scans include a medical report detailing our findings. We also provide optional extras:
- Basic package: Four printed images of your baby
- Photo bundle package: Eight printed images of your baby to share with family and friends (+£10.00)
- Upgrade package: Four printed images of your baby plus USB stick with all electronic images of your baby (+£20.00)
Can I transfer my appointment to someone else?
Unfortunately, we cannot transfer booked services to another person. If you no longer need your appointment, please contact us, and we’ll do our best to find a solution.
What if I need to cancel or reschedule?
If your plans change, please contact us as soon as possible. We offer flexible rescheduling to accommodate your needs.

About the early pregnancy scan
At this stage, we confirm the presence of your baby’s heartbeat, ensure the pregnancy is developing in the correct location, and provide an estimated gestational age.
About the NIPT and scan
NIPT (Non-Invasive Prenatal Testing) is a blood test that screens for chromosomal conditions including Down’s syndrome, Edwards’ syndrome, and Patau’s syndrome. You can also choose to find out your baby’s sex.
About the dating scan
This scan is performed transabdominally (over your tummy) to confirm your pregnancy dates and give you an estimated due date. It’s also a special chance to see your baby for the first time.
About the 4D and growth scan
Our 4D scan uses the latest technology to give you a real-time view of your baby moving and growing. Your sonographer will measure your baby’s head, tummy, and thigh bone to check their development and estimate their weight, while you enjoy seeing detailed images and a glimpse of what your little one will look like at birth.
About the growth scan
Your sonographer will check that your baby is growing as expected by measuring their head, tummy, and thigh bone. These measurements help estimate your baby’s weight and overall development.
About the gender and growth scan
Our sonographers will check your baby’s growth by measuring their head, tummy, and thigh bone to estimate weight and development. They will also look for your baby’s gender. If you prefer, we can keep the gender a secret for your special gender reveal.
About the presentation scan
As you approach the end of pregnancy, this scan checks your baby’s position, amniotic fluid levels, and blood flow through the umbilical cord. It’s a reassuring way to feel confident and prepared for birth.
