See Our ServicesJackie is a Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist and York NHS Teaching Hospitals with a special interest in fetal medicine. She is also an Honarary Clinical Lecturer for the Hull York Medical School.
Jackie graduated from the University of Aberdeen in 2007. She completed her diploma in Sexual and Reproductive Healthcare in 2011 and completed her membership to the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists in 2012. She achieved a PG Diploma in Advanced Obstetric Ultrasound with distinction.
Jackie has two young children herself and enjoys being able to provide her high level of expertise to support to be parents through maternal and fetal conditions. As the clinical lead, Jackie regularly trains our experienced sonographers and maternity support workers and ensures the service is up to date and providing the best care possible using the latest research and guidance.
Kate is an experienced obstetric sonographer who, alongside her role at Yorkshire Baby Scan clinic, works at York NHS Teaching Hospitals. She completed her degree in diagnostic radiography at Exeter University. She completed her Postgraduate diploma in medical ultrasound from Sheffield Hallam University and has worked in a number of hospitals to date. She moved to York NHS teaching hospitals in 2017.
We are incredibly proud to say in 2020 she won a star award from York Hospital nominated by her patients.
Jake is an accomplished sonographer with 7 years of NHS experience. He currently works at Harrogate NHS Foundation Trust as ultrasound manager. He completed his diagnostic radiography degree at the University of Liverpool and his master's degree in medical ultrasound at the University of Leeds. He has a variety of advanced clinical skills and works at a distinguished level within his field.
Tracey has worked in a maternity setting for nearly 25 years. She brings a wealth of experience to the role. She achieved her maternal support worker diploma in 2010.
Alongside her role at Yorkshire Baby Scan, Tracey is employed by York NHS teaching Hospitals working in the maternity and fetal department. We are delighted to have Tracey as our lead MSW; she brings both her caring nature and passion to the role alongside her decades of experience.
After earning her Levels 2 and 3 in Health and Social Care, Wendy began her journey working in the care industry in 2004.
Wendy started working on the maternity unit at York Hospital in 2015 and has several years of expertise. Wendy and Tracey have been coworkers in the Antenatal and Foetal Medicine Clinic since 2020.
Wendy will assist our sonographers and soon-to-be parents in our clinic. As well as highly experience, Wendy is empathetic, caring & kind, which are the key qualities we look for in our MSW’s here at Yorkshire Baby Scan; ensuring a positive experience for all of our patients.
Ellie is a highly qualified sports massage therapist with Level 3 and Level 4 certifications. Ellie comes from a sporting background including dance and netball among other sports.
In addition to running her sports massage clinic at YSM, Ellie is furthering her knowledge as a sports massage therapist by completing other courses such as dry needling and pregnancy massage therapy.
Ellie provides sports massages to a wide range of clientele; you don't have to be active to reap the benefits!
